As a professor and doctoral advisor at Xidian University, leads pioneering research in hyperspectral image processing, remote sensing image analysis, and deep learning-based applications.
Selected for The National "Ten Thousand Talents Plan" for Young Top-Notch Talents, which admits only around 200 individuals annually across China. Recognized for significant contributions to key projects, including China’s major space exploration programs such as "Chang e-5", "Tianwen-1" and so on, where research played a pivotal role in supporting these scientific endeavors.
As an IEEE Senior member, an editorial board member of Remote Sensing and an Associate Editor of IEEE Access, I possess extensive editorial experience. I have served as a guest editor for special issues in Remote Sensing and the Journal of Applied Remote Sensing, contributed extensively to peer reviews for top journals and conferences, like TPAMI, TIP, TNNLS, TCSVT, TMM, TGRS, JARS, JSTARS etc. I am eager to apply my expertise in Hyperspectral Image Reconstruction and Precise Interpretation to the role of Associate Editor for the Journal of Applied Remote Sensing, to enhance the quality and visibility of research in this field.
Key Strengths:
Peer Review and Editorial Expertise
Extensive experience in peer-reviewing manuscripts for prestigious IEEE journals, including TPAMI, TIP, TNNLS, TGRS, T-CYB, TMM, TCSVT, RS, JARS and CVPR, etc, ensuring the integrity and quality of published research. Served as a guest editor for special issues, including Remote Sensing on "Advances in Hyperspectral Data Exploitation" (2020-2021) and "Remote Sensing Image Classification and Semantic Segmentation" (2022-2023), Frontiers in Remote Sensing on "Advances in Deep Learning-based Hyperspectral Data Processing and Applications" (2022-2023), as well as Journal of Applied Remote Sensing on "Deep Learning Based Multi-Source Remote Sensing Data Processing and Applications" (2025.06-2025.12). Currently serving as an editorial board member of Remote Sensing and an Associated editor of IEEE ACCESS, where active contributions are made in shaping editorial decisions and maintaining high academic standards.
Leadership and Teamwork
Proven leadership in academic projects and collaborations, having led over 30 national and international research initiatives, including key projects in deep space exploration such as "Change-5", "Tianwen-1" and so on. Led a team to win the 2020 IEEE CVPR NTIRE Spectral Reconstruction Track World Champion title and secured World Third Place in 2022. Additionally, guided the team to win World Champion in the 2023 IEEE ICCV 6D Posture Estimation Challenge and the 2022 IEEE ECCV 6D Posture Estimation Challenge. Leadership extends beyond academic research into competitions with real-world applications, such as leading the team to First Place in the 1st "Tianzhi Cup" Artificial Intelligence Challenge, focusing on remote sensing and AI. In the Huawei Rise Cup AI+ Remote Sensing Imaging Track during the Second National Artificial Intelligence Competition, the team achieved Third Place, demonstrating proficiency in combining AI with remote sensing to tackle complex challenges. Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork in interdisciplinary collaborations and high-stakes research projects, always striving to achieve common goals and pushing the boundaries of knowledge in hyperspectral imaging and remote sensing.
Subject Matter Expertise
In-depth knowledge of Hyperspectral Image Reconstruction and Precise Interpretation, including classification and object detection, enabling valuable insights and guidance to authors. Expertise is further strengthened by teaching experience, including leading courses such as Artificial Intelligence and Engineering Optimization at Xidian University. Actively participate and give presentations at academic conferences, such as CVPR, IGARSS, ICCV, etc...
