Huorong Ren received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees from Xidian University, Xi’an, China, in 1994, 1999, and 2004, respectively. Currently, he is an Associate Professor, doctoral supervisor, with the School of Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Xidian University, China.

He have worked in enterprises for almost ten years. He spent one wonderful year as a visiting schalor in Alberta University, Edmonton, Canada.

His research interests currently focus on data mining, anomaly detection, pattern recognition, and computer vision.
