The First International Conference on Technologies for Smart Green Connected Societies (ICTSGS-1) will be held online globally on 29th and 30th November 2021 organized by Prof. Ajit Khosla and Prof. Hidemitsu Furukawa from Yamagata University.  Prof. Zhao has served as Co-chair. The meeting agenda is dedicated towards the cause of UN sustainable development goals (SDGs). The purpose of this conference is to engage and bring awareness at the grass root level such as students, scientists, academia and industry. Prof. Zhao has been Guest Editor for Focus Issue on 4D Materials and Systems + Soft Robotics, This focus issue accepts submissions on all aspects of additive manufacturing (3D and 4D printing) of solid state materials and systems with a focus on soft robotics.
