Deep Image and Robert Bly’s Meditation
Abstract: As a leading poet of “Deep Image”, Bly's importance lies in the fact that he “writes religious meditations for a public that is no longer ostensibly religious.” The force of his poem depends upon the establishment of a sense of intense subjectivity within contexts of the commonplace. His poetry requires that the poets go deeply inward, which seeks to integrate self, others, and the cultural and physical worlds. This essay attempts to analyze Bly’s logos from three aspects.

An analysis of John Donne’s Love Poems in Biblical Vision
Abstract: Being one of the most important parts in poetry, John Donne’s love poem has been underrated for quite a long time. As far as the content is concerned, some critics hold that it contains many negative sides. As a high priest, John Donne wrote many love poems on the basis of a potential text --- the Bible. It is Bible that helps us have a deep understanding of the content. From these poems, we find both a sincere praise to flesh derived from human nature and a special effort to seek for spiritual love, and true humanity mixed with holy divinity. Donne’s uniqueness lies in his intense analysis of his spiritual experience --- the desire to be purged of sinfulness and the longing to defeat the mortality by God’s grace and mercy. His eagerness to become holy is the brightest element of his love poems.

An analysis of self-consciousness in Christina Rossetti’s poems
-----from the perspective of Speech Acts
Abstract:
W.V.Harris strongly deny the definition that novel is a kind of imitation or disguise to “speech acts”. According to him, the remarks or utterances in the novel can also be regarded as a proposition, which belongs to the illocutionary act in natural language. The author thinks this is true of the poems by Christina Rossetti. The poetic elements in her poems still have their own expressive speech acts. This paper, on the basis of speech acts theory, attempts to reveal the poet’s self-consciousness from different dimensions.
