Dr. Zhicheng Cao works as an associate professor at the Deptartment of Biomedical Engineering, Xidian University, China. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University (USA). He received his BS and MS both from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. His current research interests include biometrics, computer vision and intelligent medical instrumentation. He is the PI/co-investigator of over 10 projects funded by China NSF, China 863, China DoE, Shaanxi Province, Chongqing City, US NSF, US DoD, US NASA, etc. He has published more than 40 indexed papers, authored 4 books, and applied over 20 patents. He serves as an Associate Editor/Editorial Member of IET Biometrics, IET Software, Computational Intelligence and Neuroscience, Computational and Mathematical Methods in Medicine, etc., and Technical Chair/Committee Member for several international academic conferences such as AAIA, CCBR, and a reviewer for journals such as Pattern Recognition, Neurocomputing, Machine Vision and Applications, IET Biometrics, etc. He is a member of IEEE and SPIE, a senior member of CCF and CSOE.
