The field trials of 1,200 kilometers in Huaihua-Shijiazhuang, Hunan, and 1,300 kilometers in the Huaihua-Beijing official hall in Hunan completed the joint debugging and testing of the overall system, laying a foundation for the development of China's own new generation of meteor trail tracking communication equipment. At present, he is mainly engaged in research work on wireless communication networks and emergency communication systems, and conducts theoretical research on adaptive transmission, cooperative diversity, and adaptive cross-layer. Relevant research results have applied for a number of patents, and several academic papers have been published in famous journals and international conferences at home and abroad.

Jia Shi is an associate Professor in XidianUniversity, and is honored with the Hua Shan Scholarship. He received his MSc and PhD degrees from University of Southampton, UK, in Wireless Communications, respectively from 2010 and 2015. Since 2015, he became a research associate in School of Computing and Communications, Lancaster University, UK. Then, he joined in 5G innovation center (5GIC), University of Surrey, UK, in 2017, and worked as a research fellow. He has a lot experiences in and worked for different UK EPSRC projects as well as EU H2020 projects, which focused on: resource allocation and scheduling in millimeter wave (mmWave) backhaul networks; resource management in small cell mmWave networks and mmWave antenna design. Dr. Jia Shi has various research interests, including: resource management in wireless systems, multicarrier communications, mmWave communications, covert communication, physical layer security, cognitive radio, etc.
