         Dr. Yuqin Ma is a teacher and a post doctoral researcher of electro-Mechanical Engineering at the School of Mechano-Electronic Engineeringin Xidian University, Xi’an, China. He earned his Ph.D. degree at Mechanical manufacturing and its automation in Northwestern Polytechnical University (NWPU), Xi’an, China. His current research activities focus on design, characterization and application of metals and alloys, metal matrix composites, resin matrix composites, new intelligent material and so on.

         He has presided over and participated in above 10 of national key research projects such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, Basic research projects of national defense of China, National high and new technology research project of China,Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities of China, Project funded by China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and so on. He authored and co-authored about 30 scientific papers published on key journals and conference proceedings in the fields of materials science and mechanical manufacturing. More than 10 invention patents of China has been applied and authorized by him. He has participated in the research project of the "National Technology Invention Award Two of China ", which was honored by the State Council of People's Republic of China in the year of 2012.
