Yongchan Gao, Professor, Ph.D. Supervisor at the Department of Electronic Engineering, Xidian University. Her research interests include statistical signal processing, array signal processing, small sample-based signal processing, STAP, estimation and detection theory.
She received the B.S. degree in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from Xidian University, Xi’an, China, in 2009 and 2015, respectively. From February 2016 to January 2017, she was a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ, USA. In March 2017, she joined the Department of Electronic Engineering, Xidian University, where she is currently a Full Professor. From November 2018 to February 2019, she was a visiting scholar, with Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Napoli, Italy. Her Current research interests includes Estimation and detection of signals in clutter, Intelligent signal processing for radar systems and Networked radar signal processing. She is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Member of IEEE Signal Processing Society. She has published over 40 papers in signal processing journals/conference. She has won academic awards as Xiaomi Young Scholars, Future Women Scientists Program from National Commission of China for UNESCO, Excellent doctoral thesis of Xidian University and so on. She is also the Associate Editor for Signal Processing, Digital Signal Processing, and the Editorial Board Member for Journal of Radar.
