Rui Song was born in Jiexiu, Shanxi, China. He received his Bachelor degree in Telecommunications, Master and Ph.D. degrees in Signal and Information Processing from Xidian University, Xi'an, china, in 2003, 2006 and 2009, respectively. From 2013 to 2014, he is a Postdoctoral Scholar in Professor C.C.Jay-Kuo's Group, Ming Hsieh Department, Viterbi School of Electric Engineering, University of Southern California, USA.
Since 2010, Dr. Rui Song has been an Associate Professor in School of Telecommunication Engineering at Xidian University, Xi'an, China. He is now a member of Image and Video Processing Lab in State Key Laboratory of Integrated Service Networks, and is responsible for video group. His research interests include video coding algorithms, VLSI architecture design for image and video processing, IP design of video codec IP, Pre- and Post-processing of High Definition Camera. He has published 16 research papers, among them 15 papers are indexed by EI and one by SCI. He has applied for 5 patents, and 4 of them are approved. I am now a Postdoctoral Scholar at SIPI of University of Southern California, which is hosted by Professor C.C.Jay-Kuo.
