Fang Liu was born in 1963. She is the Full Professor in School of Artificial Intelligence at Xidian University, Xi'an, China. Currently, she is employed as the academic leader of  Xidian University and National "111" Innovation Base of the programs of Introducting Talents of Discipline to Universities. Pro. Liu is Senior Member of IEEE, Senior Member of the Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE), and the professional committee of artificial intelligence and pattern recognition of Computer Society in Shaanxi Province. So far, she has undertaken and completed more than 20 national research tasks. In 1998, she obtained the second prize of the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technolgy Progress Award. In 1999, she obtained the scond prize of  the scientific and technological progress award from the Ministry of Education of China. In 2004, she was awarded as the Shaanxi Provincial innovation expert. In 2008, she obtained the first prize of the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Award. In 2009, she obtained the first prize of Natural Science award from the Ministry of Education of China, the first prize of the Xi'an Science and Technology Award and the first prize of the Shaanxi College of Science and Technology Award, and so on.
